Sari Ater Hotel & Recreation is a captivating resort located in the serene foothills of West Java, Indonesia. The location is in Nagrak Village and it belongs to Subang Regency.
According to the locals, Sari Ater hot springs was once a haunted forest. Plus, lots of big trees grew there! It is said a villager wanted to chop down one of those trees. While chopping, he was startled by the sudden burst of water coming from such tree. Instead of being afraid, he felt grateful to the God. Due to such new source of water, his village suffered drought no more.

Sari Ater hot springs is a nice park with small pools to sit or swim. The streams and pools are fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the heat from nearby volcanoes. According to the locals, the source is located in a nearby volcano, Tangkuban Perahu (which also owns an interesting legend). The locals have built a pond to contain such hot water and mix it with fresh water. As the result, it becomes warm and safe for bathing.
Sari Ater hot springs is a pretty little place in the middle of huge tea estate. There are 2 kinds of entrance fee. The first one is IDR 35.000 for the ordinary pool and IDR 75.000 for pool that has mini waterboom.
The pools are probably the best of all the hot springs around Bandung. We can enjoy swimming in warm sulfurous water pools that can heal rheumatism and skin problems. Here you can swim in warm mineral water pools, good for healing skin problems. Ciater hot spring is one stop place for entertainment and relaxation.
There are massage therapists stationed all around the park. They’ll be in the water massaging your feet, for a small fee.
Sari Ater hot springs is located in Lembang, a green, lush place. The water contains sodium and sulfur, well for curing skin ailments and rheumatism. Equipped with tennis courts, restaurants, and camping area, Ciater is a good way to retreat from every day's life.

Ciater is another area with tea plantations and hot springs, eight km northeast of Tangkuban Perahu. The place also has a tea factory. Ciater is a good starting point for hiking, and has some accommodation.
Tangkuban Perahu Mountain is a volcano and it has the height of 2084 meters above the sea level. In terms of width, it is around 3320 km. One of the most favorite sites to explore is Ratu Crater (which is the biggest). However, these days, tourists often come to Damas Crater for its hot spring. Some visitors even carry some eggs and cook them in it! As an alternative, they may enjoy mud bathing in order to soothe their skin.
Cimahi Waterfall is one of the favorite waterfalls in Sunda. Curug is the Sundanese word for a waterfall while Cimahi is the name of the river that flows through it. Its vertical drop is 87 meters high, which makes it the highest waterfall in greater Bandung area. This waterfall is also known as Rainbow Waterfall, due to the colorful lighting you could enjoy every day from five to eight p.m.
